We recently received updated results from research conducted in 2019, summarising responses about accredited training delivered in 2018. Again, we are very pleased to share some highlights from this report that showcases how Macquarie Community College continues to provide outstanding outcomes for our students over and above other training providers.

Child care student, Margot, recently entered a writing competition with Axcelerate, and wrote about her time studying with Macquarie Community College.

We are committed to decreasing the digital divide in our communities where there are deep gaps in access, affordability and skills in using computers, phones and tablets. A new research report (The Australian Digital Inclusion Index) provides a comprehensive picture of Australia’s online participation to date. Things are improving, however, there is still lots to do.

Jennifer immigrated to Australia a few years ago and struggled to find a job as an Accountant due to her low level of English. After a friend recommended she study English language at Macquarie Community College, her English communication skills drastically improved, along with her confidence, and helped her find her dream role in the industry! Our Business Administration Students hosted a Christmas lunch for 120+ members of the local Mt Druitt community. They used their newly learnt skills to create invitations, posters, Powerpoint presentations as well as organise the event and publish a cookbook of recipes. The event was a huge success! Congratulations.

8 out of 11 students who recently completed their CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support, received job offers in the Aged Care and Disability industry. Some of these job offers were as a direct result from their work placements during their studies at Macquarie Community College. Work placements are organised for students to gain real life work experience whilst studying.
