2018 is here and many of us will have already thought of some New Year’s resolutions for the year. But, did you know that only 9.2% of people actually achieve their New Year’s resolutions?

At Macquarie Community College, we don’t want you to fail – we want you to succeed in living life to the fullest and embracing lifelong learning!

In helping you to achieve, we’ve included a six month plan to kickstart your 2018 goals. As winners of the 2018 NSW Adult Learning Award, we are proud to present you with all of our courses. They’re guaranteed to help you live life to the fullest.

NEW YEAR, NEW YOU! START GOOD HABITS FOR THE YEAR

JANUARY, 2018

It’s the new year! Why not kick start your new year’s resolutions by enrolling into one of our summer short course offerings. Some of our personal favourites are bushwalkingphotographycrochetfurniture restoration and dancing. But there are loads of new courses, too! Whether it’s lifestyle change or self-improvement you’re after, we have the answer. This won’t be your last chance, but, as we always say: start the way you mean to continue! Keep your eye open for new season course offerings throughout the year.

In the search box at the top right hand corner of the screen, type a couple of keywords from the course name and click on the correct search result. Alternatively, go directly to our leisure and self-improvement menu and apply for one of the short courses coming up soon. Set an alert and add course details to your calendar.

INTERESTED IN FURTHER STUDY? GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIES MAY BE AVAILABLE

NSW Government subsidies are available for many of the accredited training courses offered by Macquarie Community College. Read about Smart & SkilledCommunity Service Obligation or Traineeships on our website and max out your potential without maxing out your credit card or taking on a massive loan.

It’s never too late to start a new career. Don’t put off this goal any longer. Enrolling early means that you can get your course knocked over before the end of the year. Just imagine: you could be working in an entirely different industry by Christmas! More than likely, well before!

CELEBRATE NATIONAL SENIORS WEEK WITH A TECH SAVVY SENIORS COURSE

APRIL 1–10, 2018

Check out our computing courses and update your skills so that you can connect with others and navigate easily in our technology-rich world (read Lance's story).

1.   Tech Savvy Seniors familiarises people who are new to technology with how to navigate their new devices and how to use basic software and social media platforms.

2.   Microsoft Suite looks at how you can make the most of word processing and accounting software.

Every year, Macquarie Community College supports the Cancer Council by hosting Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. Let’s face it, it’s really another great excuse to catch up and try out each other’s favourite food — all in the name of a good cause!
